The Rea Report is an independent games publication built on one idea: a review should tell you whether a game is worth your time and money — and exactly why. No half-measures, no review-bombing, and no scores handed out before the servers go live.

How we review

Every game is played on retail or review builds and broken down to a telemetry readout — gameplay, story, presentation, and value — before a single locked verdict. The number reflects the time we actually spent and the game in front of us, nothing more.

When a publisher provides a copy or early access, we say so in the review. Our verdict is never for sale.

Who's behind it

The Rea Report is founded, written, and edited by Nick Rea — a lifelong player who got tired of reviews that buried the answer. The goal is simple: criticism you can trust, written by someone who finished the game.
